About Us
Blue Mount Public School is a leading CBSE school in Thiruvananthapuram, committed to providing quality education at an affordable cost. Established in 1995 under the Blue Mount Educational Trust, the school has grown from a humble beginning into a vibrant learning community with around 2,800 students and 200 staff members.
Located at Thonnakkal, a place deeply connected with the legacy of the renowned poet Kumaranasan, the school carries forward a strong tradition of knowledge, social responsibility and progressivethinking. Our guiding philosophy is rooted in the belief that education should empower children with knowledge, skills, values and confidence to face the challenges of a changing world.

Our History
The journey of Blue Mount Public School began in 1995 with a vision to make quality education accessible to the common people. Established under the Blue Mount Educational Trust, the institution was founded under the leadership of Adv. Dr. K. Vijayan, Chairman, and Mrs. Sathy alias Latha Vijayan, Managing Trustee.
The school was established at Thonnakkal, Thiruvananthapuram, a place associated with the literary heritage of the great poet Kumaranasan. Inspired by his progressive vision and social commitment, Blue Mount embraced the ideals of knowledge, equality, organisation and social responsibility.
Over the years, the institution steadily expanded its academic programmes, infrastructure and learning opportunities. The school
adopted the CBSE curriculum with a commitment to providing education of international standards while remaining accessible to the community.
From its humble beginning in 1995, Blue Mount has grown into one of the prominent educational institutions in the region, with a strong community of students, teachers and staff. Its journey reflects decades of dedication, perseverance and the continued trust of parents and well-wishers.
The Silver Jubilee year 2019–20 marked another significant milestone in the school’s journey. As part of the celebrations, Eureka, a Science and Arts Exhibition, showcased students’ creativity and innovation through working models and projects in Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Computer Science and Languages.
Today, Blue Mount Public School continues its journey with the same commitment to quality education, character formation, innovation and nation-building, preparing every generation of students to confidently meet the opportunities and challenges of the future.
